better late than never.

I haven't forgotten about the little contest I am supposed to be hosting on my blog. I'm just a procrastinator - it's how I roll. If you've forgotten, I won a fabulous prize from Freckle's Chick and now it's my turn to Pass it On!

Here's the loot:

An adorable pink and white damask apron, just in time for some Holiday cooking - modeled by yours truly.
excuse the blurriness, it's hard to stand on your tippy-toes and take a picture!

A bottle of my most favorite hand lotion of all time. It leaves your hands silky smooth, non-greasy and deliciously edible! My sister calls this the Sopapilla lotion - it smells that good.

So, here's what you do:

- To enter this contest, simply leave a comment telling me about a blessing in your life.

-- If you'd prefer not to participate, I totally understand. But I would still love to hear from you, so please fee free to leave a comment anyway. De-lurking is encouraged!

-- I will print out your comments, toss them in a basket, and have Bubbles draw the names of the winner on Sunday, December 7th. I will post the results the next day.

-- The winner will need to email me some sort of address in order for me to mail their gifts. I promise I'm not a stalker. I will not drive to your house and leave you creepy gifts of headless dolls on your porch. I'll send you your gift and then destroy your address and all other evidence promptly.

-- The name of the game is Pass It On, so if you are a winner, it's encouraged that you in turn do something similar for your readers. Sound like a plan? Now hop to it!

I love contests like this. I did one a few months ago wherein I baked cookies of the winner's choice when people would tell me what the nicest deed they'd ever done was. The winner was a woman who had paid her friend's rent for three months when they were laid off. It was so inspiring to hear of so many good deeds!

I was blessed this year when my brother was able to have his cancer surgery performed by one of only three specialists in the entire country. Knowing my baby brother was in such good hands was enough to make my entire year, if not a lifetime. My husband and I have more blessings than we can count and for that we are grateful every day.

Hello....my name is Hanna and I'm a lurker, officially de-lurking.

What a sweetie!
The biggest blessing in my life is my husband (cliche, I know!) He is my rock, and we always seem to be able to lift each other up in times of need. He also lets me be my silly, crazy self and still loves me for the world!

Hi, I'm Jess and I am de-lurking myself for this contest. :)

I am blessed to be a stay at home mom of four boys. They are an amazing batch of boys and I love them more than anything else in the world. I am truly blessed to be their mom.

I love the apron! My greatest blessing is my wonderful husband. He means the world to me and I cannot imagine my life without him in it. He is such a strong and amazing man and husband. I thank God for him everyday and pray that I can be the best possible wife for him.

Hi! I am officially de lurking also!

I am very blessed with a great job. I have a tendency to get frustrated often by my job, but when I really stop and think about it I am very blessed to have a steady job with good benefits and good people to work with.

I'm not gonna play, but I wanted to tell you that I love that apron!!

Hi, I'm de-lurking also. I'm so blessed for my husband, my furbabies and all my family. We're very close, so we don't get along all the time but we love each other.

- de-lurked -

I have so many blessings right now. We are finally in good financial shape, my husband and I's relationship is stronger than ever and I have a son who blows me away daily.

This is a great idea for a giveaway, I sure do hope I am the winner so I can "pass it on" to my tiny group of blog readers!

hi Erin! I love contests and I LOVE that apron!! Anyway I here is my story!!

I am blessed to have had a wonderful nanny when I was growing up. She started taking care of my sister and I when I was 6 weeks old and stayed with us until I went to school full-time. I feel so blessed that I had the time I did with her because she was simply amazing. She helped shape the people we have become and although she was taken from us way too soon from breast cancer, I know that I will forever have a guardian angel!

Pink AND damask! Simply perfect.

Unfortunately, I don't have any blessings to tell you about that are very "original", but that's not the point anyway right?

I am blessed to have a husband that makes be laugh everyday. Life is so much easier to deal with when you have the laughter to put things into perspective.

Hi, Erin! My name is Sarah, and I have to say that I've been lurking for a while, and glad that I can finally tell ya how much I love reading your blog.

Like many of the other ladies, I am so blessed with amazing hubby and family. They know me and love me anyway!! But lately, I've been looking at the small blessings in my life--reading a good book (darn Twilight), enjoying dinner with my girlfriends, a yummy cup of coffee, my goofy dog. These are the things that make me happy on a daily basis and I thank God for everything!

Oh my word, that apron looks too cute on you!

So . . . I'm thankful for my hubs.

My name is Jolie...a subscriber to your blog and am officially becoming a de-lurker! I am blessed with so many things in my life and remind myself everyday, especially in these difficult times. I am especially grateful and blessed to have a job, a great husband who supports me in all I do, a great family that I can both love and complain about (sometimes) and most of all, I am just grateful and blessed to be alive and healthy. Thank you for being so positive and spreading this to others!

I have been thinking of you, can't wait to hear some more work stories!

And I forgot to tell you how I'm blessed. BTW Erin, that apron is freaking adorable!

I am blessed because I have been given a clean bill of health. I found a lump in my breast that even had my doctors worrying. After a few tests and possibly surgery in the next few weeks, I have been deemed healthy. I thank God for taking care of me and hearing my prayers.

Another lurker, finally de-lurking (just in time for the loot, right?)
A huge blessing in my life is my baby, Edison. He is a 6 year old Rex rabbit, and he lights up my life!

Hi Erin! I'm de-lurking, a former Nestie! I love your blog - my husband and I are struggling with infertility as well, and your stories, though heartbreaking, are also heartening. Now, as to the contest...That apron is AWESOME - I love it! Do you know where it's from?! I feel so undeniably blessed that I have my grandparents in my life. They are 89 and 85 years old, been married 61 years, and are my heroes. I don't know what I'll do when they're no longer here!

Okay, okay- I'm de-lurking! I'm a former Oklahoma knottie and nestie and remember you from both. :) I have been very blessed this year, but my greatest blessing is my husband- he's honest, kind, supportive and loving.

My greatest blessing is my salvation, I'm so blessed that I was raised in a family that is full of faith, took me to church and taught me how to love my Lord. And that faith has gotten me through some pretty rough times and blessed me in times of greatness!

Sara said...

Wow! Look at all those de-lurkers! Maybe I should run a contest on my blog, just to find out how many lurkers are out there! I too have been lurking around your blog for a few weeks.
I am grateful for our men and women who fight in the armed forces every day, so that I can wake up each morning to my wonderful life.

My job is a blessing right now. Six months ago, I didn't want it... in fact, I almost quit. Things have turned around in an amazing way and I am so thankful that I didn't quit. Especially given this economy! PHEW.

Such cute giveaways! I think I've posted comments before, so I'm a semi-lurker.

Right now and everyday {as unoriginal as it sounds} I'm thankful for my family and friends. They are *everything* to me!

I'm blessed that my brother is alive and well and I got to spend time with him at Thanksgiving. I was double blessed with 4 days off from residency to see him. It was fabulously akward and wonderful at the same time.

Miss Erin!! That apron is GORG!! I die, I die. Ha... So, I wanna play.

The blessing are many 'round these parts, but I'll pick that I'm blessed because after a difficult cancer situation in my family, the affected person is cancer free and we are all healthy! It hit way too close to home this time so I'm very thankful for the positive outcome.

Love that you are getting chances to blog lately!!

The blessing in my life right now is that I just finished teaching classes for the semester and am now on Christmas break for a month. Feeling relaxed already.

I'm also de-lurking :) I am blessed to have a wonderful husband and look forward to celebrating our 1st anniversary this month. Our 1st year has been so full of great experiences and changes in our lives...moving to a new state, buying our first home and looking forward to the arrival of our son in March. I am reminded daily of how blessed I am to have such a wonderful companion.
